Kitchen Renovation: Before & After
A few months ago we gave you some insight into a before and after basement renovation. In this month’s blog we want to give you that same inside look into the dramatic impact that can be made in the kitchen.
Sherry and Rick’s kitchen was far from a desperate situation. With light wood cabinets and a honeycomb-like tile floor, it was definitely in need of a modern update though.
Before
For this kitchen remodel, the homeowners wanted a traditional look. The biggest impact in the new design was the addition of a kitchen island. This dramatically increased the useable counter space and transformed the room into an eat-in kitchen.
There were big changes in this room, from floor to ceiling. The tile floors were replaced with a light-finish hardwood that contrasts beautifully with the darker stained cabinets. As with all Karry renovations, the cabinets were custom made in our Brampton warehouse.
After
A warm subway tile backsplash pulled together the other warm tones from the cabinet and countertop colours. For the final touches on this modern update, all the appliances were replaced with must-have stainless steel, including double ovens and a pot filler.
Our proudest accomplishment with this renovation, without a doubt, was the satisfaction we brought the client.
“[Karry] are FABULOUS people to work with! Jody was absolutely fantastic to deal with. She is extremely professional, and was extremely helpful with helping us make the right decisions for our kitchen. Rob was amazing with doing the install and all of the electrical, and too boot all by himself. We’re so happy we decided to go with Karry Home Solutions. Everything they did was above and beyond our expectations.”
You’ll hear this often, but Karry Home Solutions is a family business. We treat every renovation as if it was our own home and we understand that it is families that will be living with our designs. This is why we keep our designs as customized as possible and strive to keep our clients happy during the entire reno process.
