Ultra-Modern Living and Powder Room

A sleek renovation to the living room and powder room, offering a complementary finish to a modern main floor design.

Location: Halton Hills
Date: 2017
Budget: $8,000-$10,000
Style: Modern

The Space:

The living room area was renovated as a part of a total main floor renovation, which included the kitchen and dining room as well. The home owners wanted an open, modern look throughout the home.

The Renovation Results:

To bring out the open, expansive feeling the home owners were looking for, we removed the walls sectioning off the kitchen and carried Shaw engineered hardwood in Argonne Forest Oak throughout the different rooms.

The powder room was a cosmetic overhaul involving fresh paint and replacing all the existing fixtures. A Cantrio undermount white sink was installed in the vanity and a Tota Aquia one-piece toilet was brought in as well.

A super-crisp white was used throughout the bathroom to inspire a bright, luxurious feel and draw elements from minimalist design. The vanity wall was painted in a high-gloss white lacquer finish, while super white quartzite was used for the vanity counters.

The Renovation Highlights

The real gem in this renovation are the Delta Vero faucet and accessories, which used the same champagne bronze finish from the kitchen. Using the bright, almost exclusively white palette, with select bold accents, helped to make this powder room feel much bigger than it was.
