The Space:
We created an ensuite bathroom with a spa-like feel alongside the master bedroom. With a luxurious glass shower and neutral palette, this contemporary space adds significant value to the home.
The Renovation Plan:
We transformed an existing sunroom into this grand ensuite by gutting the space of its original drop ceiling, wood panelling and carpet. While we were in full demolition mode, we replaced the insulation and drywall. To make this a true ensuite, we closed off the door to the hall and added a new entrance through the bedroom.
Porcelain tiles were used throughout, with the main floor using a slate-looking style for texture and interest, while the shower floor featured a mosaic pattern. A calming, neutral palette was used throughout. The custom vanity and cupboards were painted in Benjamin Moore Gray to continue the cool tones.
The Renovation Highlights
The big highlight of this bathroom remodel is the 6 ½ ft shower, with a built-in shelf, rain head and handheld shower fixture. For another jaw-dropping add-on, a Maax Romance freestanding soaker tub was installed as well.
Lastly, all faucets and fixtures included in this bathroom renovation were finished in hammered copper or oil-rubbed bronze, to provide dark accent pieces against the lighter tones throughout.
